College of Lake County

The College of Lake County is a community college with approximately 15,000 students in attendance. The school is located 45 miles north of Chicago and The College of Lake County programming board provides a wide variety of entertainment for the entire school. The performances are geared towards the whole Lake College community and feature both music and non music (magicians, comedians, hypnotists, etc.) performers at several different events on campus.

The College of Lake County is mostly interested in local or regional bands.

• Thursdays in Lancers - Thursdays in Lancers is a once a month coffeehouse event held in the cafeteria during lunch time. The venue holds 100 people.

• Laugh in Lancers - This is a new event where there will be comedians at lunch time once every month.

• Band Blast - Band Blast is planned around several major events on campus. This evening event is held on both weekends and weekdays and is hosted in a 350 person theater.

• Multicultural Events - Throughout the year there are several multicultural events that feature World music among other genres.

• Battle of the Bands - The Battle of the Bands is held in May and is sometimes followed by other events as well.

• Outdoor Events - There are several outdoor events in May and August as well as other times during the summer.

Bands will be compensated with an amount to be negotiated at the time of booking.
