Columbia Festival of the Arts 2013

The Columbia Festival of the Arts in Columbia, MD is looking for Sonicbids artists to perform alongside other great musicians for their 2013 LakeFest celebration. LakeFest is a free outdoor community arts festival that features the best in local, regional and national musical artists. Past headliners have included Terrance Simiean, One World Tribe, Ryan Shaw, Grupo Fantasma, Eric Lindell, Scythian, Black 47, MarchFourth Marching Band and many more. A wide variety of genres are accepted.



Selected artists receive:

• Monetary compensation. This amount will be negotiated at the time of booking.


• Featured listing on Festival website and program.


• A sound system, backline and a sound engineer will be provided at the venue, but artists are responsible for bringing their own instruments and any additional equipment.


• Opportunity to sell merchandise at 85/15 split.

Comprised of an eclectic mix of visual arts, music, dance, theater, literature, comedy, film and family activities over a 16-day period, the festival attracts over 30,000 people each year.

LakeFest, the festival's opening weekend, is an admission-free outdoor event featuring multiple stages and activities. An average of 25,000 people attend the event over the course of the weekend. The Mainstage features 15-20 slots for local and regional musical performances with a headlining performance by a national artist.
