Comprised of an eclectic mix of visual arts, music, dance, theater, literature, comedy, film and family activities over a 16-day period, the festival attracts over 30,000 people each year. Notable previous performers include America, Aretha Franklin, Blood Sweat & Tears, Emmylou Harris, Harry Connick, Jr., Indigo Girls, Taj Mahal, Wynton Marsalis & The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra and many more.



LakeFest, the festival's opening weekend, is an admission-free outdoor event featuring multiple stages and activities. An average of 25,000 people attend the event over the course of the weekend. The Mainstage features 15-20 slots for local and regional musical performances with a headlining performance by a national artist. Compensation is available for certain selected performers.
