Shows are promoted extensively online through social networking sites and calendar events sites including he MetroTimes, The Detroit News, The Detroit Free Press, and more./n/nFlying Spur Productions hosts a casual concert series in Wixom, Michigan, just outside of Novi, Michigan. The Comfy Couch Concerts are hosted at a Newport Furnishings warehouse, a 3500 squre foot showroom that comfortably holds up to 80 people. We are averaging 50 people a performance. Ticket Prices $15.00 at the door $12.00 advance. Artists keep 75% of door receipts. Most artists do two sets 45-60 minutes in length. A merchandise table sell CDs or other merchandise and a person to staff the table can be provided. 100% of Merchandise sales are retained by the artist. CD sales are usually pretty strong.


So far they only schedule one concert per month month, but thay may increase as the series grows in popularity. Flying Spur Productions is currently booking for the 2009/20010 season and shows are generally take place on Saturday nights.


The concerts are primarily through an online distribution list, and at www.MichiganFolkLIve.com and www.ComfyCouchConcerts.com. They also utilize the most popular social media sites (Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter). They have 6000+ fans or followers. Additionally, the shows will be publicized through many Calendar events sites including The MetroTimes, The Detroit News, The Detroit Free Press, ZEvents, UpComing (Yahoo), Concerts in Your Home, After5Detroit, ArborWeb and on the MichiganFolkLive podcast whenever possible.


The performance space has a small stage that is approximately 10ft wide by 8ft deep. It can be expanded to 15ft by 8ft for larger groups. The most they've had on stage is 6 performers, including a full drum kit.
