Summary
The Congress Theater is a 4,000 capacity, historic music venue just outside of downtown Chicago. There is live music 2-3 nights per week at this historic venue. All genres and ethnic communities are hosted. Artists are usually booked a minimum of 2 months and a maximum of 6 months in advance.
Artists should be able to draw 1,000 in the area, but if a headliner is already booked who can draw fill the place, artists with less of a draw will be considered. Previous headliners at the Congress Theater include: Prince, Iggy Pop, Nine Inch Nails, The Killers, Ludacris, Billy Idol, Korn, The Pogues, Prodigy and The Shins.
Compensation varies depending on performing artist; negotiable at time of booking. There is an in house system and engineer. Backline is provided under certain circumstances.
