Summary

ConserFest is a grass roots project originating on Block Island, RI that came about in the fall of 2007 and raises consciousness for environmental conservation through the celebration of music and art.

This year, the festival is looking for local, regional and touring solo artists and bands to perform live at the festival. It is accepting a variety of genres, and encourages artists with an environmentally friendly message to submit. There are 3 slots reserved for Sonicbids artists. Because this festival is run as a non-profit, raising money for local land conservation projects, artists will be donating their time and talents to the event. In lieu of payment, each selected artist will be provided with a $25 travel stipend, housing for the night of the festival (if you are selected to perform at night), as well as lunch and dinner on the date of the festival. If an artist is selected to play during the daytime event(s), nighttime accommodations cannot be guaranteed but may be available upon request.

Past artists have come from as far abroad as California and NYC, with a strong focus on local island artists and southern NE artists as well. These include Travis Greenlee and Homeslice, Fungus Amungus, Pressure Cooker, Chachi Carvalho, The Honors, Zox, Sauce, Sarah Brindell, Johnny Lingo, Marc Scortino, Ian Ethan and many more.
