This gig is not currently accepting applications. We think you might like these similar gigs.

Summary

We are looking for songs that will make people aware of current social conditions and inspire them to do some to make positive changes in society. Have you written the next "Imagine" or "Blowin' in the Wind?"

We award a cash prize of $500 for the winner, and the winning song plus the songs of 10 runners up will be eligible for placement on a compilation CD that is sent to radio stations.

Send us ONE TRACK ONLY and lyrics to enter.

The songs must have lyrics, and some tips for better success are as follows:

1. The production should make sure that the lyrics can be discerned and are not buried in the mix

2. If the lyrics point to solutions to the problems that are addressed it will be great.

3. Express your feeling, but if you can do it in an FCC friendly way without expletives, then it will help your chances of being selected.

We have been running the cost for the past three years and the winning artists in those years were One World Tribe, The Whiskey Farm and this year's winner is Eljuri. Visit www.rawa.net to view the song contest winners of the past three years.
