Summary

Cooch Music has launched its 11th Amateur Songwriting Competition. The International songwriting contest began in 1999 giving songwriters, bands and musicians the ability to enter a contest that is aimed at amateurs (writers who make less then $5000 a year in royalties) only)!



Arinana Stewart, (Sonicbids Member!) R&B winner of the 8th Cooch Music Songwriting Competition, has been signed by a producer and her first assignment is to co-write 3 songs for Bad Boy Records new super group B5!



Songs are to be judged on originality, lyrics, melody and composition. Quality of performance and production will not be considered. All prizes are designed to help the amateur songwriter further their career. Complete prize list can be seen at coochmusic.com.



Judging will be done by the staff of J. Cooch Music (BMI) Music Publishing and special judges from within the music industry which will include Producers, Managers, Performers and Record Label A&R's



Cooch Music's categories include: Rock/Alternative, Country, Pop/Dance, Folk/World, Rhythm & Blues, Hip Hop/ Rap, Gospel/Inspirational, Latin, Novelty/Comedy/Children's, and Lyrics Only.
