Cornucopia Summer Music Festival

The Cornucopia Summer Music Festival is a celebration of the music of the people. Independent artists from around the globe are invited to join Cornucopia for the Ultimate Jam Session over the course of six fun-filled musical days that puts no boundaries on genre, gender or musical styling.



The Cornucopia Music Festival will take place September 13-18, 2005. This six day extravaganza takes place in the metropolitan area of the Nation's Capitol - Washington, DC -  in some of the city's trendiest night clubs and online! 100 artists will have the opportunity to showcase their talent in front of their peers, fans, community and special invited guests. There are 25 slots reserved for Sonicbids artists.



There will be a live contest as well as an online contest where artists can win! All 100 Finalists will be chosen by Cornucopia to perform at the event and will receive a goodie bags of gifts and a free pass to the ID 2005: Independent’s Day Music Conference in October. Throughout the event the live and online contest will happen simultaneously: Live at each night of the event, there will be 20-25 performers with one winner chosen by crowd response - and the five winners will go on to perform live on the final night. The Final 5 will receive Official Cornucopia Digital Media Prize Packs and the winner - based on judges, crowd response and other criteria - will receive a Trip to New York City to attend the Billboard Road Work Touring Conference and Awards in October, plus the opportunity to see if they can drive a car FREE for 2 years! The same bands playing each night will be posted online each night for online voting. The online winner from each night will be posted on the 6th night - and the artist with the most online votes will win the People’s Choice Award that night! The live winners can be different than the online winners.
