Cottonwood is a community festival put on by the local Arts Council. The festival has been around for 11 years and attracts about 800 people each year.



It began as a bluegrass fest and is evolving into a more inclusive folk festival. Held the second weekend of July, this is a family event with camping on-site, right on the beach of beautiful Stuart Lake. Attendees have previously been entertained by the likes of Barley Wik, Back Porch Swing, Valdy, Gary Fjellgaard, The Stooks, Rawling Brothers, Jessica Heine, Lakeside Ramblers, Celtic Rain, Ed Peekeekoot and others. Compensation and lodging are negotiated individually.
