About the Battle of the Bands:


Bands who perform in the 2011 Battle of the Bands will compete for the grand prize, an opening slot on the festival's main stage.


In partnership with 94.5 Country (Topeka, KS), the contest “Stampede 16," will run a total of ten weeks. Each week, two bands will be featured on 94.5. The station will play a song by each band, and listeners will be encouraged to vote online, at 94.5’s website, where the bands linked website and a sample of their music will be featured.

The first eight weeks will feature sixteen bands. The ninth and ten week will feature the final four winners and then a winner will be chosen in a live playoff. The three bands that do not win the grand prize will be offered a spot on the Tuttleville stage.
