JUST ADDED: American Songwriter will be selecting 15 artists to go into online voting - and let the public decide which talented artist will make it onto the Craft of Music Vol. 1. Voting will take place August 18 - 25 (at noon EST) on the American Songwriter Magazine site, where artists vying for the spot on the CD can send their fans to vote. Online voting will be sponsored by Onlinegigs.com - all semi-final artists who make it into voting will receive a prize from them!



American Songwriter Magazine and Oasis CD Manufacturing are thrilled to announce an upcoming contest for song placement on The Craft of Music Vol. 1 CD Compilation, to be distributed in the upcoming November/December 2006 Issue. There are two tracks on this CD reserved for entries from Sonicbids artists (one of which will be determined through online voting) to showcase undiscovered new talent alongside the best songwriters of “Then and Now”. Submissions are open to all genres of music and the two winners will also receive editorial coverage in the Nov/Dec 2006 issue and online.



There will be 20,000 copies of Vol. 1 manufactured by Oasis CD Manufacturing and distributed to national newsstands at Borders, Barnes and Noble, Tower Records as well as to American Songwriter Magazine subscribers.
