Summary

Creekside Cultural Center is a new non-profit organization providing educational, cultural, spiritual and recreational activities to the Berks County and Lehigh Valley communities.

Creekside holds a monthly potluck meal for members, followed by an educational event. Historic/roots/bluegrass music, unusual instruments, and shows of specific cultural importance or from specific areas of the world, presentations of a historic or educational nature, and audience participatory activities are preferred. This activity is designed to be highly interactive and entertaining while teaching something of value about our culture or history.

Compensation ranges from $50-$125 depending on the event, plus any meals or accommodations required for the performer/speaker. Tax vouchers are available for any non reimbursed expenses.

The audience is an all ages, highly responsive group. The sunday afternoon events are particularly geared towards families and the retired community. Audience size ranges from 10-30 depending on the reputation of the artist/speaker and the advertising cooperation between the artist and the center, so we ask for EPK materials including high resolution photos appropriate for newspaper use no later than 6 weeks prior to the concert in order to maximize attendance.

You may market your merchandise at the event as well as before or after for a period of up to 6 weeks with prior arrangements. Sunday afternoon events, starting March 2009, begin at 2:00pm and end between 3:00 and 4:00pm. Artists are invited to attend the potluck meal and membership meeting which happens before the event, from 12:30-2:00. Creekside is located in Lenhartsville, PA.

Creekside has an 8x12 stage, and a 6 channel amp with two large house speakers and two microphones. We have an upright piano and a variety of drums and other instruments on site. View Creekside Cultural Center's Saturday night music series listing here.
