Criminal Records is an innovative record label based in the United Kingdom. Formed in 2004, Criminal Records signed a number of bands and artists in a proactive attempt to support the new music scene emerging in the UK. To date they host a massive 19 acts and represent a variety of bands playing some of the best basement rock music around. Criminal Records represents the grass roots of UK talent.

Criminal Records regularly hosts music showcases at various venues in and around London. Currently they are seeking submissions to fill spots at The Arts Theatre in Soho, where they host the Club Criminal showcase every Thursday featuring up and coming bands in genres including indie, rock, basement, and alternative. They are also booking other open performance slots at venues such as Jailbreak at Tommy Flynn's in Camden, and The Barfly club night, Purple Turtle, and Blag Club in Notting Hill.

Bands are booked approx 6 weeks in advance. A local draw is required, and compensation will be based on attendance. Set lengths usually last around a half hour. A drum kit is provided at many of the venues, minus breakables, and bass DI is available as well. Any other needed equipment must be arranged between performers. This is a great gig for any artist looking for quality exposure around London.
