Crossover Festival Talent Search

Practice hard, polish up, and come ready to have a good time because this year will be the best talent search ever! That’s because Crossover is teaming with other major festivals in the nationwide Christian Festival Association to present a national talent search competition.

Regional competitions will be taking place at festivals around the US including Crossover. The competitions are conducted online initially, and are completed at Crossover by a live competition among the finalists chosen by Talent Search judges. The entry fee for the online portion of the competition is $50. Twenty four (24) artists will be chosen by online voting to compete live at Crossover and must perform one song featured on their submitted demo.

The first place winner of the live competition at Crossover each day (Friday and Saturday) will have the opportunity to perform the wining song on the main stage at Crossover that evening! There will be one GRAND PRIZE winner for the week, who will go on to perform at the national finals in Nashville. The national winner will receive a recording contract with Provident Label Group, home of Reunion Records and Essential Records.

Live competitions will take place on the Crossover "Alternative stage" from approximately 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon on Friday and Saturday, June 13 and 14. Artists will be registered in in one of two categories, bands and (track) artists. One or more individuals playing an instrument will be classified as a band, and one or more individuals using tracks only will be classified as a track artist. However, only one winner per day will be selected, and one overall Grand Prize winner. For those who wish to compete as a band, Crossover will supply the sound system, drum kit, keys, and bass rig. Bands will be required to bring other guitar amps as needed, but must be able to move them quickly on and off stage.

Upon receipt of your entry, online voting will begin to select the finalists who will compete live during Crossover. If you are chosen as a finalist, a Crossover representative will notify you shortly after June 1, 2008. At that time you will be required to send a live competition fee to Crossover of $100 for bands, and $75 for track artists.
