Don't miss your LAST CHANCE to submit to the Crossroads Entertainment Showcase 2011- the Upper MidwestÂ’s only event to educate, connect and showcase the work of the entertainment industry in an effort to strengthen the entertainment infrastructure for the future. It is now accepting submissions for the music showcase performance consideration. Up to 8 slots are available for showcase performances. All genres are encouraged to submit, but no cover bands will be accepted.

Compensation is negotiable, and artists will receive a full conference pass with access to multiple seminars and networking events./n/nThe Crossroads Entertainment Showcase 2011 is the Upper MidwestÂ’s only event to educate, connect and showcase the work of entertainment industry in an effort to strengthen the entertainment infrastructure for the future. It is now accepting submissions for the music showcase performance consideration. Up to 8 slots are available for showcase performances. The music showcase will take place on Thursday, November 10th, 2011 at Court Center in Downtown Des Moines, IA. Compensation is negotiable, and you will receive a full conference pass giving you access to multiple seminars and networking events. The showcase provides an opportunity for serious bands by bringing radio execs, venue owners, festival producers, promoters and film makers to the showcase. They also feature a regional marketing campaign that will give you a great deal of exposure.



Past performers include The Speedbumps (Kent, Ohio), Modoc (Tennessee), Brother Trucker (Des Moines, IA), Alexis Stevens (Iowa City, IA), Kevin Steinman (Minneapolis, MN), Maxilla Blue (Des Moines, IA), Pictures of Then (Minneapolis, MN), Enchanted Ape (Minneapolis, MN), Why Make Clocks (Des Moines, IA), The Anytime (Ames, IA), Cashes Rivers (Des Moines, IA), Stick 9 and the Truth (Des Moines), The Honey Bees (Des Moines), She Swings She Sways (Ottumwa Iowa), Bonne Finken (Des Moines), Thomas Pace (Chicago), Shannon Curfman (Minneapolis) and Sarah Benck and the Robbers (Omaha). Over 1000 attendees from Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, Illinois and Wisconsin attend this event.



Note: Musicians, visual and performance artist, film makers, theatrical performers, food and beverage masters and industries that support creativity all come together at Crossroads. Musicians are invited and encouraged to take advantage of the conference seminars and networking options to build opportunities in the Upper Midwest market.
