The Crown Point Festival is a week long festival of the best emerging and pioneering artists in film, theater and music from around the world. The festival is held each fall in the Lower East Side of New York City. Crown Points is organized with the belief that the current state of downtown culture offers tremendous opportunities to those willing to make a commitment to excellence. Every performance is tailor-made to transport the audience on a unique unforgettable experience. This year’s event will be hosted at People Lounge on the Lower East Side in November 2009. The Crown Point Festival is now accepting submissions from Sonicbids artists for general performance consideration. Previous performers include Yeasayer, A Place to Bury Strangers ( both just named URB Magazine's Next 100), Beat The Devil, The Rub, The Epochs, Hopewell, DJ Dummy and FIGO DJ's. The Crown Point Festival is produced by The Fall Collection, Inc., a New York State non-profit 501(c)3 company dedicated to showcasing the diversity of people, businesses, and culture within NYC’s Lower East Side community.
