Summary

AS Presents, located on the CSU, Chico campus, has been bringing in talent for their student population for over 14 years. They have a variety of events and venues for both the Fall and Spring semesters.

Please note: They are only looking for local/California artists for the majority of the events and venues, as travel costs are not included.

  • The Bell Memorial Union is a 1,000 capacity venue that hosts all of the school's larger shows. CSU Chico is seeking headliners who are likely to sell out the venue as well as hip hop, indie rock, pop rock, reggae, folk, bluegrass and singer/songwriters with a following in the area to perform as openers.

In the past, concerts have featured Jason Mraz, Fall Out Boy and Jimmy Eat World.

  • The Nooner concert series is a free, outside event featuring up and coming artists of all genres that have a range of appeal to a large variety of listeners. Concerts are typically held once a week through October, and begin again in the Spring on the "Free Speech" lawn located in the center of campus. Nooner concerts are one hour shows starting at noon.

  • During the Spring they host two festivals: Eco-Fest and the International Festival. These events are outdoor concerts that run throughout the day. Eclectic artists of all genres are encouraged to submit, especially world music artists including salsa, samba, Cuban, Latin, and jam bands.

Each of these events is run with professional sound and lighting. Compensation varies depending on the event and venue.

By submitting your EPK, you will be considered for both the Fall 2007 and Spring 2008 semesters.
