Summary

California University of Pennsylvania is located in the Borough of California, a community of approximately 6,000 residents, located on the banks of the Monongahela River, less than an hour’s drive south of Pittsburgh. They host several events for students during the school year and are currently accepting submissions for the Spring 2008 semester.

They are seeking acts for solo shows, as openers for headlining acts acts, and for a coffeehouse atmosphere. Currently, the school presents a Thursday Night Open Mic/Coffeehouse, where they have featured artists in the middle of the show. In general, these artists are somewhere in the rock spectrum of music and are compensated for their performances with a negotiable amount of no more than $500. These performances typically take place in the Gold Rush on campus.

Compensation for other performances is negotiable and ranges greatly. Shows take place in the Gold Rush and Performance Center. Lodging for artists is generally provided, and travel costs are negotiable.
