The Cutting Edge Music Business Conference and Roots Music Gathering is a must attend event for those who want to gain control over their music careers and make money in today's entertainment business. This yearÂ’s 15th Annual Cutting Edge will take place at the Renaissance Hotel in New Orleans from August 23-26, 2007.
There are 125 showcase slots available in the Cutting Edge New Works Showcase, that will be held at 12 venues over four days. The showcases at Cutting Edge are for artists seeking special exposure to record executives, booking agents, managers and the media. Showcases are held in the evening. All genres are accepted.
Cutting Edge began in 1992 with one simple premise: Knowledge is Power. Founded by the non-profit organization Music Business Institute, the Cutting Edge is dedicated to the many musicians whose dreams and efforts make the music business a reality for the rest of us. Past event performers include Dexter Freebish, Fastball, Cowboy Mouth, Tablet, Henry Gray, Henry Turner and Favor and Delfeayo Marsalis.
