Dallas Music Festival 2011

The Dallas Music Festival is a 250+ artist festival that will take place this year August 4th through 6th at The Prophet Bar, Curtain Club, and Liquid Lounge in Dallas, TX. They are seeking a variety of local and touring artists in the genres of acoustic, adult contemporary, alternative, Americana, avant-garde, blues, Broadway, Celtic, classic rock, Christian, country, folk, funk, Gospel, goth, hip hop, metal, pop, punk, reggae, rock, singer/songwriter, soul, urban, and R&B. The three day festival draws over 3,000 fans to Dallas every year. Though it is not required the promoter suggests that bands engage in ticket presales. Ticket presales help determine the venues, time slots, and compensation bands receive from the show. This process ensures the most popular bands are able to perform to the largest crowds and everyone is able to get a time slot and stage that suits their act. Tickets are good for all three days of the festival. Bands earn $1/ticket for selling 1-49 tickets, $2/ticket from 50-99 tickets, and $3/ticket at 100 tickets.
