Dead on the Mountain

Dead on the Mountain 2011 will be held on the weekend of May 6 - 8, 2011 and will feature Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia tribute bands along with new, up and coming bands. The festival is looking to book mostly jam bands and some reggae, but will accept great music of a variety of genres. Compensation for artists is negotiable./n/nDead on the Mountain is an annual event that has been extremely popular with attendees. After a 6 year hiatus, Dead on the Mountain was revived in 2010 with rave reviews. This event features over 20 bands performing over 3 days on a working farm in the beautiful mountains of Los Angeles. The festival features great music, camping, vending, and a very kicked-back feeling makes this an event people look forward to.

Artists will receive free camping/ passes to festival as well. Sound system will be provided on stages, and artists must bring their instruments/ amps.



Past prominent performers include Burning Spear, Merl Saunders and the Rainforest Band, Melvin Seals and JGB, ELO Part II, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Vasser Clements, Tony Rice and Norman Blake, David Nelson, Donna Godchaux (Grateful Dead), Vince Welnick (Grateful Dead, The Tubes) and many more.
