Summary
Jam Battle of the Bands is an ongoing competition where bands battle it out for cash prizes, headlining gigs and interview. Jam battles include all styles of music. The competition has been around for just under a year but have already awarded great bands for their music with $300.00 total in cash prizes handed out at the end of the night ($250.00 First Place, $50.00 runner up). Headlining Gigs at one of our other battles or festivals are also offered to the two winners. The First Place winner will be interviewed by a member of our staff for an interview, which will be posted as Online Press on the Jam Battle of the Bands Homepage.
The event takes place on December 19th, 2009 from 4-10 PM. Load-in for the event will take place 90 minutes prior to the first bands start time. All times will be posted on the Jam Battle Homepage. The event takes place at the Heirloom Arts Theatre in Danbury, Connecticut. The Heirloom is newly renovated, now featuring a projector screen backdrop. The venue has a full bar, concessions, and free parking. As many as 300 people are expected to attend the event. Ticket sales and showing effect crowd density. All bands are required to sell 25 tickets, priced at $10.00 presale and $12.00 at the door.
Once accepted, bands will be mailed tickets and information packet on the event. The shows are all ages and bands are encouraged to bring their merch and sell, sell, sell during the show!
3-4 slots are reserved for Sonicbids artists. Bands will also be considered for future events and will be kept in our records if not chosen for this particular battle. Battles occur monthly as well as all day festivals, so look out for an email from us if you apply in the near future.
