DockStock - Music on the Pier

The Port of South Whidbey will be hosting DockStock 2011 – Music on the Pier, for the third year in August 2011. The harbormaster is looking for local groups interested in being part of the musical line-up. There are 8 slots reserved for Sonicbids artists. Each group will perform a 45 minute set. There will be two stages; an acoustical stage set up at Phil Simon Waterfront Park with music 1pm-5pm, followed by music on the main stage located at the end of the pier, playing to 9 pm, surrounded by boats and docks full of spectators. Last year, six musical groups played to capacity crowds.



The Port will select 4 acoustical performances for the afternoon session, and 4 evening performances for the main stage, sound and lighting will be provided on the main stage. Each group will perform a 45 minute set. Artists will be compensated a negotiable amount.



The event draws boaters from all around the Puget Sound Region to the South Whidbey Harbor at Langley. This is a dock party to celebrate summer on the water, and includes a Crab Cook-off competition. Event Tee Shirts will be available with sponsors and band names to commemorate this annual party.
