Summary

Don't Call Us Tori has been a showcase for female singer-songwriters to share a friendly venue and audience in Los Angeles since 2004. It continues its residency in Hollywood the last Saturday of every month at Karma Coffeehouse (1544 N. Cahuenga, Hollywood, CA 90028 www.karmacoffeehouse.com).



The women's showcase features artists in the vein of Tori Amos, Jewel, Sarah McLachlan, Fiona Apple, Gwen Stefani, Norah Jones, and much more. "Helping to define a new generation of singer/songwriters." - Music Connection Magazine.



Selected material and genres range greatly, and you can visit the official website to see past performers. The unifying theme of the night is quality performers who bring something unique to the genre. The artists chosen are those who are pushing the boundaries. They are far enough along that they have determined their musical style and direction. Don’t Call us Tori has reached a new point for female artists and is looking for women who are defining this next wave.



Artists may perform solo or with full band. All shows are free and all ages. A great PA and sound person are provided, and the shows are webcast live through www.indieairplay.com. The room has a great vibe, is very relaxed and usually packed. Most artists perform one 20-40 minute set.



Merchandise can be consigned at the common merchandise table for 20% of sales. Merch person is provided.



All submissions must be female artists, although band members can be male!



Past performers include Sierra Swan, Kat Parsons, Gilli Moon, Izzy Cox and the Eskimos, and many more.
