Summary
The Dr Lou Radio Show, celebrating its two year anniversary this September, is one of the only Independent music shows in Philadelphia. The show is heard each week at 1360 AM in Philadelphia and features a simulcast to the internet at www.wnjc1360.com. The show currently runs from 7-8 PM on Saturday nights. If live, artists can phone in at 856-227-1360. Artists submit songs for inclusion in the shows content each week. For individual shows certain music themes may apply. i.e. blues, hard rock, etc.
Artists who are selected for play are encouraged to call into the shows and talk about their experiences and their music. All genres of music are welcome to apply with the exception of any music that features offensive content, i.e. language or an insulting position. It is totally up to Dr Lou Music to determine the content of the show and it is this discretion that is enforced. There are also opportunities for showcase and inclusion in some compensatory events on an ad hoc basis. Artists who qualify by getting played the most in a year will also be featured in a music awards show.
