The Drunken Unicorn opened its doors on New Years of 2004. It has since become a magnet for touring indie bands and a unique venue to see the best of local punk, alternative and rock acts. The venue provides its performing artists with a full sound system with monitors, amps and a sound engineer, so artists are only responsible for bringing their instruments and any additional equipment. Performing artists can also request to have their show recorded, in which case they must provide the recording device and cables. From Monday to Saturday, load in is at 7:00pm, with doors opening at 9:00pm.



About the venue:

The Drunken Unicorn At MJQ Concourse is open all night and hosts some of the best local and touring punk, rock and alternative dance music. This subterranean nightclub has been the backbone of Atlanta's underground club scene since its debut in the basement of the Ponce de Leon Hotel in 1994. In 1997, it moved to its current spot in an old parking garage and changed its name to MJQ Concourse. It is a high-energy venue with an excellent sound system.
