The Dallas Songwriters Association (DSA) is looking for YOUR songs! Enter the 2007 Song Contest today for a chance at some great prizes and valuable feedback. This amateur songwriting contest will be judged on lyrics, melody, and form.

All winning songs will also be included on a compilation CD to be distributed at the DSA 2007 Songwriters Contest Awards Ceremony.

You may submit as many songs as you wish, in one or multiple categories, and the contest is open to all genres. Each song must be submitted to one of the following categories:


  • Singer/Songwriter

  • Christian/Inspirational

  • Instrumental/TV/Film/Classical/Jazz

  • Country

  • Novelty/Patriotic/Children’s

  • Pop/Rock/Alt/R&B/Urban

  • Love Songs/EZ Listening

  • Americana/Folk/Bluegrass

The DSA Annual Song Contest is open to any amateur songwriter. (This contest defines “amateur” as a songwriter who has not earned more than $5,000 from songwriting-related royalties, works for hire, or advances since January 1, 2003.)
