FEST: 2020 East Coast Music Conference (ECMC) - VA

East Coast Music Conference is back in 2020!  June 4-6 in Norfolk Virginia. 

Up to 50 Sonicbids artists will be invited to play the event. All artists who complete a full application will also receive conference passes, a $99 value per member.

The ECMC is truly a new type of conference in terms of access, technology, the opportunity for musicians at all levels, and bringing artists together with new fans in real-time. Over 10,000 attended conference seminars, workshops, networking and concerts in the first two years and saw shows at nearly a dozen unique venues including breweries and rooftop shows.

Programming includes a variety of industry experts. Past years included Gold & Platinum certified industry pros and cutting-edge innovators in the DIY space, all teaching artists how to be more successful in the music industry as it exists now. 2019 speakers included Warped Tour Founder Kevin Lyman, CI Records Founder Jeremy Weiss, Collective Entertainment Founder Emily White, author and career coach Matt Starr, and many more. During the day ECMC is for learning, building your network, and finding mentors. Various media opportunities are possible as are meet and greets, and other special events. By night ECMC hosts shows of every size, type, and genre from big outdoor parties to top showcase rooms to intimate bars and clubs. For 2020 all ECMC performances will be free to maximize crowd size for performing artists.

All genres are encouraged to apply! We look first for quality music and strong stage presence regardless of style. We’re eager to work with artists who are early in their career, looking to expand their knowledge, contacts, and fanbase. We’re rapidly developing a reputation for finding artists on the way up. The heart of the conference is Granby Street, where artists and industry pros will find invaluable programming by day and participate in amazing showcases by night. There will be roughly half a dozen stages throughout Downtown Norfolk for up to 50 artists to perform over 2 days! Sound provided at all venues. Compensation Details: Conference passes for the entire weekend for all band members and 1 manager.
