CONFERENCE: East Coast Music Conference (VA) (ECMC)

The East Coast Music Conference is May 10-13, 2018 in Norfolk Virginia. 10,000 + attendees are expected at the entire conference.The ECMC is truly a new type of conference in terms of access, technology, the opportunity for musicians at all levels, and bringing artists together with new fans in real time. The entire conference will be recorded and/or live streamed to an international audience. 

The ECMC organizers have decades of experience in event management, marketing, and the music industry.

Programming includes a variety of industry experts and RIAA Gold & Platinum record awardees are already confirmed. The expo will have the latest in equipment and tech demos. Artists with music and merch for sale will be able to have it on sale all weekend and at any offsite performance. Conference attendees may have opportunities to perform on streamed and web programming before and during the event. Artists can also participate in the Green Screen Challenge during which they create a music video over the weekend and can win prizes.

The open programming includes a variety of open jam sessions, games, and activities that will be fun for any music fan and ensure an audience for every performer. Opportunities to play at parties and offsite events offer additional compensation and the chance to play in some truly unique venues. All genres are encouraged to apply!

There is a $16 application fee. Up to 100 Sonicbids artists will be invited to play the event. All artists who are selected will also receive conference passes. Any artists who apply but is not selected, will receive 50% off conference passes should they choose to attend. 

 The heart of the Conference is the Slover Library where we will have 6 floors of programming and 5 stages. An additional 8-10 stages, offsite events, and after parties are taking place around Norfolk and Virginia Beach, many in unusual and exciting venues. In all, there are over 50 slots available. Base compensation ranges from $0 to $1000 depending on a number of factors including draw and distance traveled. Better known acts may negotiate compensation beyond these parameters. Conference passes will be provided to all artists who perform. Admission to after parties and offsite events will be provided as space allows. Backline provided where needed.
