Summary

This annual competition in six creative genres, including songwriting and short film / videos, photography, fine art, functional art, and literature, is offering $1,000 for the first place winner in songwriting and in short film/videos. The theme is "ecology" - the interrelationship between all organisms and their environment. It's big picture stuff. Eco Arts Awards is looking for innovative, edgy, inspiring interpretations of that theme. If you are passionate about wanting to make a difference in the world with your talent, this is the competition to enter. Songwriters: If you want to change the world with your songs, if you see the big picture, this is the competition you want to enter. You will be joining a group of very dedicated people who will do their best to promote your message.

Selection criteria for songwriting:


  • Originality and impact of ecological theme

  • Lyrics

  • Melody

  • Arrangement

  • Production/Record Quality and vocal ability are not criteria



Short Films / Videos: If you were told in order to save the world it was up to you to make an inspirational video of no more than fifteen minutes in length, what would you say, show, write, sing? We want to see innovative originality!

Selection criteria for short films / videos:


  • Thematic impact (and relevance to ecological issues)

  • Originality and artistry of voice, style, elements, of the media and imagery

  • Technique (composition, skill, editing)
