Empire Tea & Coffee - Newport, RI

Empire Tea & Coffee is the largest coffee shop in Newport, RI and after 7 years of being open, has recently expanded its performance space. It is opening it up to the performing public as a place to help up and coming artists get exposure. The venue is accepting solo artists and bands who play jazz, blues, folk, acoustic and any mellow music. Selected artists will play in the 99 capacity room, on a stage that can hold 4-5 band members. Artists will be compensated with tips and will be able to sell their merchandise and keep 100% of the profits.

About the gig:


Selected artists will play in the 99 capacity room, on a stage that can hold 4-5 band members. Artists will be compensated with tips and will be able to sell their merchandise and keep 100% of the profits. As well, artists will be provided drinks/water during the show. All music played must contain no explicit material, and suit the quiet nature of the performance space. A limited sound system, including 800W powered speakers and monitors will be available at the venue, but artists are responsible for providing any other necessary equipment.
