Summary

Eastern Oregon University (EOU), located in La Grande, Oregon (259 miles east of Portland and 177 miles west of Boise, Idaho) is currently accepting submissions for campus performances during their Fall 2008 term. Enrolling just over 3,400 students and a member of NACA, they host several musical, performing arts and comedy shows throughout the school year.


EOU is seeking regional acts of various genres. They generally book at least one term in advance. When submitting, please indicate which of the following your act would like to be considered for:


  • Coffeehouse Performances: Each month, EOU hosts one acoustic, coffeehouse act. Performances will take place in the Hoke Main Lodge, which has a capacity of 150. Artists will be compensated for their performance with a negotiable amount up to $1200 inclusive of travel.



  • Comedy: Comedians are encouraged to submit for performance consideration in EOUÂ’s monthly comedy shows. Artists will perform in the McKenzie Theater, a full presidium theater with a 500 person capacity. Compensation for performances range up to $2,000-$3,000 inclusive of travel.



  • Performing Arts Shows: EOU hosts a variety of performing arts shows during the year (generally one per term). Past shows have included Celtic bands and dancers, Chinese acrobats, etc. Unique and multicultural acts are encouraged to submit for performance consideration. Shows will take place in the McKenzie Theater, a full presidium theater with a 500 person capacity. Compensation for performances in negotiable and ranges up to $4,000 inclusive of travel.



  • General Band Performances: The number of general band performances varies each year, and can range up to 2 per term. Artists perform off campus at the Elk Lodge, a 300 person capacity venue serving a 21+ crowd. Folk, rock, pop, reggae, alternative, live hip hop, and country acts are encouraged to submit. Bands will be compensated for their performance with a negotiable amount. Travel may be covered.


    For all performances, a sound tech and PA system are provided. Bands are expected to provide their own backline.
