The 2008 Evolve Festival will be held July 18-20 in the heart of the Nova Scotia highlands, in Antigonish County, Nova Scotia, Canada. The festival site is privately owned, and provides the Evolve community with more than enough natural space and rugged beauty to play in, as well as large fields for comfortable camping.

Started in 2000, Evolve Festival has grown into a premier music and community experience. In 2007, nearly 2,700 attended the three-day festival. The music is spread over 5 stages, including a main stage and two electronica stages. Notable past performers include Michael Franti and Spearhead, Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra, Medeski Martin & Wood, k-os, The Be Good Tanyas, Winter Sleep, and many more.

Evolve continues to try to be the greenest festival in Canada, by running some Bio-Diesel, Solar and Wind power, and deploying an extensive recycling and venue cleanup program. All print marketing is printed on 100% post consumer recycled paper with soy-based inks, but they mostly use the internet - which kills no trees at all.

Evolve is held on a rolling 225-acre site, with green grass and lots of trees, and a million dollar view of the Atlantic coastline. The Black Avon waterfalls are a short walk down the road, and it's only a ten minute drive to the beach. The sunset off the coast of Cape George will blow your mind.
