F2 Records - "Java Songs" Compilation

F2 Records is pleased to announce the creation of a compilation CD of original music entitled "Java Songs". F2 is seeking original acoustic guitar instrumentals from the best and most talented established and emerging artists. "Java Songs" is intended to accompany, well…a good cup of java. All submissions will receive a complimentary review even if not selected for the compilation, and there are 2 to 5 slots on the release reserved for Sonicbids artists./n/nF2 Records is pleased to announce the creation of a compilation CD of original music entitled “Java Songs". F2 is seeking original acoustic guitar instrumentals from the best and most talented established and emerging artists. "Java Songs" is intended to accompany, well, a good cup of java. All submissions will receive a complimentary review even if not selected for the compilation, and there are 2 to 5 slots on the release reserved for Sonicbids artists.



“Java Songs” will be nationally and digitally distributed by one of the largest and most respected distributors in the industry, Allegro Music. Online sales will be via all major music download channels, i.e. iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody, Amazon, etc. Also a partnership with a major coffee provider to promote a combination of free single downloads (as promotion) and discounted physical CD sales is pending.



Artists will retain 100% writer credits for their contributions and split their publishing 50/50 with F2 Records. Artists will receive 15% of PPL, prorated for the percentage of tracks they have on the CD. Artists will not be permitted to sell or distribute selected tracks, outside of this agreement, for a period of 2 years from the date of release, at which time, they will be able to sell their song(s), as they so choose.



F2 Records is a small but growing Folk, Christian and Instrumental music label based out of North Georgia. No additional fees are required. No advances will be issued for this project.



All contributing artists will receive artwork and promotional and release copy that they will be free and encouraged to use for their own promotional efforts. Online plans are highly encouraged and can be coordinated individually with F2. F2 will issue multiple press releases to their network of over 300 publications and broadcasters, as well as entail a comprehensive online marketing campaign that includes Twitter, Facebook, ReverbNation, Myspace, Digg, Ping and dozens of other online communities, boards, forums, chatrooms and information disseminators.



Submissions are open to a variety of genres including: Smooth and Contemporary Jazz, Easy Listening, Light Pop, Fusion, New Age, Bluegrass (Newgrass, not hardcore traditional), Folk...basically anything acoustic guitar-based and instrumental that is anywhere between soothing to lightly energizing. Please No Metal, Rock or Rap or anything vocal.



Release is set for late Fall of 2010.
