Summary

The 35th annual Frank Brown International Songwriters' Festival will take place November 7th - 17th, 2019 in approximately 30 venues on the Alabama/Florida Gulf Coast.

We are looking for individual songwriters to perform their own original music.

The Opportunity

Our festival consists of songwriters singing their own original music, hence; there are great opportunities in meeting other songwriters to collaborate and co-write with while attending the festival. Two weekends of the festival, there are songwriters workshops.

Headquarters for the Festival will be the world-famous Fora-Bama Lounge, Package and Oyster Bar on Perdido Key, FL. Over 200 Grammy award-winning and up and coming songwriters will be featured.

The Band

  • Age Requirements 18+
  • Seeking artists that have a substantial social media following
  • Artists must have a proven track record of performing their original music on stage in front of a large crowd
  • The festival focuses on original music; Country, Americana, Folk, and Blues, but all genres are given consideration
  • The Festival attempts to be respectful of the songwriters that have participated in the past while introducing new talent every year

The Gig

  • Most performances, depending on the venue, are "in the round" much like the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, TN
  • Sets run from 1 to 1 1/2 hours
  • The Festival will provide three (3) nights lodging and will provide lunch on the days you are participating
  • The Festival will guarantee each songwriter three performances and will pay $75.00 per songwriter for each set. The Festival will attempt to schedule, but cannot guarantee additional paid performances
  • Applications will be reviewed and invitations will be extended based upon the recommendations of the Selection Committee
  • Unfortunately, it is not possible for the Festival to schedule everyone who applies
