This is a Songwriters Festival hence; there are great opportunities in meeting other songwriters to collaborate and co-write with - while attending the festival.
The Opportunity
The mission of the Frank Brown International Foundation for Music (501c3) is to bring the authors of original music out of the shadows and into the spotlight; to reach into schools to enrich lives and encourage creativity through music; and to support businesses by increasing tourism in the Gulf Coast region.
The Festival brings over 200 Grammy award winning and up and coming artists to the Alabama/Florida Gulf Coast.
In 2017, over two dozen venues from Silverhill,AL to Pensacola, FL hosted more than 800 individual performances.
The Frank Brown International Foundation for Music produces the Frank Brown International Songwriters’ Festival annually. In it’s 34th year, the Festival is the oldest of its kind and has consistently been named a “Top 20 Event” by the Southeast Tourism Society.
The Band
We are looking for Songwriters' to perform their original music during the festival.
Most of our performers are individuals although there may be exceptions.
We are looking for songwriters. There are a lot of collaboration opportunities as well.
The Gig
2018 Songwriter Application
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
There are three openings available for SONGWRITERS.
Festival Dates: November 8th – 18th, 2018
Applications will be accepted February 15th through May 31st
The Festival will provide three (3) nights lodging and will provide lunch on the days you are participating.
The Festival will guarantee each songwriter three performances and will pay $75.00 per songwriter for each one hour set. The Festival will attempt to schedule, but cannot guarantee additional paid performances.
Please indicate which of the three day slots listed below you would prefer to perform:
Nov. 8 – 10.
Nov. 13 - 15
Nov 15 – 17
Applications will be reviewed and invitations will be extended based upon the recommendations of the Selection Committee.
Unfortunately, it is not possible for the Festival to schedule everyone who applies.
