FEST: Lancaster Music Festival (UK)

Lancaster Music Festival is looking for 2 or more Sonicbids artists to play 3 to 5 shows each at the 2023 Lancaster Music Festival in Lancaster, UK which will take place between Thursday Oct 12th & Sunday Oct 15th 2023.

The festival is an award-winning celebration of Lancaster's great musical talent and diversity while also inviting national and international acts to help provide a wide variety of world-class music including, but not limited to, jazz, blues, world, classical, folk, indie, punk, rock, metal, pop and more. Set in the centre of the historic city of Lancaster the festival features over 400 performances from 300 acts at over 40 venues & locations. Past festivals have had more than 55,000 attendees over the festival weekend.

Over the last 12 festivals, LMF has booked over 40 Sonicbids artists of which 38 were international, including:

Triple Mood (US), Uptown Monotones (Austria), Estrella & Teo (Brazil), Clara Valente (Brazil), Sensory Hoverload (US), UFly (Poland), Andria Simone (Canada), Marina Zettl (Austria), Paula & Karol (Poland), Marisa Yeaman (Australia), Heidi Happy (Switzerland), Beatrice Mason (Brazil), Shalosh (Israel), Lacy Younger (US), Gibrish (Sweden), Lilit Bleyan (Armenia), Adam Miller (Australia), MOrganisation (UK), Alba (Spain/UK)

We are looking for at least 2 Sonicbids acts to perform at least 3 shows each including 1 show inside Lancaster Castle courtyard. Other venues are pubs, bars & live music venues with capacities ranging from 80-800 approx.

Details:
1 x 45-min slot Lancaster Castle stage; other venues usually 2 x 45-min sets. 3-5 shows in total

Backline provided: drum kit (no cymbals), guitar & bass amps. Sound equipment provided as required at each venue

Performance fees/show between £150 (solo) to £400 (bands) depending on act size

Accommodation and UK work permits provided for international acts

Acts must cover their travel costs to Lancaster UK

All act members must be 18+ at the time of the festival

The festival is primarily interested in artists performing original live music. All genres of music will be considered. Originality is particularly important - we are unlikely to book international acts who do not offer anything different from what can be found locally. Artists performing mainly cover versions or to backing tracks will not be considered.

We are primarily interested in original, jazz, blues, soul, world, classical, folk, indie, punk, rock, reggae, metal, pop.

We cannot book additional shows for your act outside of the festival so please don't ask.

• 1 x 45-min slot on festival mainstage; 2 x 45-min sets at other venues. 3-5 shows in total
• Backline provided: drum kit (no cymbals), 2 guitar amps & bass amp. Sound equipment provided as required*
• main stage performance fee is £100-300 GBP depending on act size for 1 x 45 min set
• Compensation at other venues typically between £80+GBP (soloists) and £300+GBP (bands) per show, each show no more than 2 x 45 min set
• Accommodation provided for international acts
• UK work permits provided for international artists as needed within UK regulations*.
• The act must be able to cover travel costs to Lancaster, UK.
• All members of the act must be 18+ at the time of the festival.
• Artists keep 100% of merch sales
