Summary

On July 3 & 4 2020, Oklahoma Black Music Festival will be hosting a music festival like no other. 12 music tents, 16 different music genres, two days. The festival was created to bring unity to the Oklahoma City area and create a pipeline of entertainment for Oklahoma. It was also created for networking, collaborating, development and supporting purposes across the United States.

We're looking for musicians of all genres to help us Unify through music and collaborations. Artists are expected to fundraise in order to play the show as this is a fundraising event.

There is NO FEE for Sonicbids artists to submit to this opportunity.

The Opportunity

The Oklahoma Black Music Festival (OBMF) is an umbrella of T.A.P. Inc, a 501 C3 Organization whose mission is to scout, coordinated and showcase African American artists of a wide range of genres. Our organization supports music collaborations from music directors, producers, executive producers, engineers, and music of all races that support and empowers and includes the African American community throughout Oklahoma, the United States and overseas. 

This is an opportunity to join forces with fellow artists and collaborators for a day of empowerment and community.

The Band

  • Open to Hip Hop, Rap, R&B, Reggae, Latino, Afro-Cuban, Afro-Funk, Country, Spoken Word, Gospel, Soul, Jazz, Spoken Word, Poetry, Kids Music
  • Artists must be actively playing shows & be able to heavily promote the event if selected
  • This is a family friendly event, artists are expected to be as well
  • Artists are expected to fundraise for this event and sell advance tickets 

The Gig

  • The amount artists raise will determine their spot on the schedule & each artist will be paid a percentage of the money they raise 
  • Artists that raise more than $5k will perform on the main stage
  • The first artist to raise more than $10k will be the opening act for the headliner!
  • Artists will be paid a percentage of the tickets they sell: 
100-199 = 10%
200-299 = 20%300-399 = 30%400+ = 40%
