Summary
Perth’s Southern Fried Festival is taking a break for 2019 and will return refreshed and raring to go in the summer of 2020. In our eleven years, we have welcomed a veritable who’s who from the Americana world to Perth for the Southern Fried Festival and created a genuinely world-class event that Horsecross Arts and the city is justifiably proud of. The festival has attracted a loyal fanbase from all over Scotland and beyond, many of whom return year after year. We look forward to coming back in 2020 with another great Southern Fried line-up and meeting up with all our festival family and friends again. This year we're accepting applications from Sonicbids best emerging and established talent.
The Opportunity
Our aim is always to make each festival better than the one before and we believe that we have achieved this in the great spread of artists and events we have attracted to Perth over the years. Creating the best possible festival is our biggest priority and since we've thrown such high caliber festivals in the past, our fans have high expectations for artists that we book. Whether you're a local, regional or national act, we look for artists that bring life to the stage. Whether your name is well known or not, we're looking for true artists that will bring a great performance to our fest.
The Band
We're looking for Rock, Acoustic, Singer-Songwriter, World, Experimental, Jam Bands, Country, Indie, Folk, Bluegrass, Blues, Soul, and Jazz acts. We're also open to other genres if it makes sense for the musical bill.
Bands must have Live stage experience and currently playing shows
Bands must have a solid online presence
Bands can sell their merch on-site
Bands must promote the show
Ideally, we're looking for acts that have a following in Perth
We're booking local, regional and nationally touring artists
The Gig
