Summary

The Ladybug Festival is an annual event celebrating women in music. The event was created in 2012 by Gable Music Ventures as a block party for the residents in downtown Wilmington, Delaware, but has since grown into one of the biggest celebration of women in the country. 

The Ladybug Festival is looking for female-fronted Sonicbids bands, or solo female artists to take part in this celebration of women.

The Opportunity

Beginning in 2012, the reaction from the community has been incredible with attendance doubling every year since the festivals conception, from approximately 300 to almost 10,000 attendees in 2017 when the event expanded and added a second day. Being a celebration of women, this festival is perfect for all the female fronted bands. Who runs the world? Girls!

The Band

  • Female fronted bands of any genre
  • Bands must be actively playing shows 
  • Bands must be willing to heavily promote the show if chosen to play
  • All acts applying must meet the criteria that we look for, lyrics, stage presence, style and artists must have a fanbase
  • Acts must have a solid online presence

The Gig

  • Thu, Jul 16, 2020 to Fri, Jul 17, 2020, Wilmington DE
  • PA provided, bands may need to bring some equipment 
  • Bands are able to sell merch on-site
  • Compensation determined at the time of booking
