Summary

The 11th Annual Boston GreenFest is booking up to 6 Sonicbids artists!  This is a great opportunity for exposure at a free festival in the heart of downtown Boston for a good cause. 

Boston GreenFest is the largest multicultural environmental music festival in the region. 100,000 people are expected to attend the free, 3-day festival that features a range of live bands.The festival is looking for all styles/genres to play during the day and support the headliners. This year's focus on the Main Stage will fill fast, so artists should apply early!

Our theme this year is #ChangingCourse. With climate change, the world is changing course in ways that we are not prepared for and it is up to us to change course in our habits in order to combat climate change and become better stewards of our planet.

The Opportunity

Boston GreenFest is a grassroots effort organized by the Foundation for a Green Future, Inc. and its dedicated team of community volunteers.  Our goal is to educate and empower people to create a more sustainable, healthier world. We are actively building an interconnected, ever-expanding network throughout our neighborhoods, city, and region. From business to nonprofit, neighborhood association to academic institution, Boston GreenFest spans age, culture, and industry. Since 2009, GreenFest has selected over 60 Sonicbids artists to perform. 

We have opportunities for bands to play the main stage or play in front of 500-600 ppl as a GreenSoule Busker. 

The Band

  • New England artists given priority  
  • Main Stage:  Open to a wide variety of genres including Eclectic, Folk, Bluegrass, Jazz, Pop and Spoken Word 
  • GreenSoule Buskers: Looking for street performers (Neo-Soul, R&B, Hip Hop, Reggae) - will have the opportunity to perform in front of 500-600 ppl 

The Gig

Main Stage:  

  • 30 minute sets for Main Stage performers 
  • Professional sound/sound engineer provided
  • Lighting provided on Main Stage only
  • Main Stage performance in covered area
  • Performers are expected to be on hand at least one hour prior to their performance time
  • Backline provided 
GreenSoule Buskers:
  • Not covered area - in front of Faneuil Hall; no sound engineer
  • Buskers must bring their own speakers/set up 
  • City permit for buskers will be provided by Boston GreenFest                     
Compensation Details:
  • All acts may sell merchandise and keep 100% of the revenue
  • Selected acts will be promoted on the official Boston GreenFest website and on social media

Compensation

  • Percentage of Merchandise Sales: 100%
