FESTIVAL: Gov Ball 2018 (NYC)

The Governors Ball Music Festival is New York City's music & arts festival. Featuring music of all genres, foods of all flavors, arts of all variety, and more. The festival draws from the eclectic spirit that makes NYC so special and provides people with a first class experience for all the senses. June 1-3, 2018

We're looking for pop-up artists to play Gov Ball 2018. Around the grounds, between the lawns, at the entrances, next to the docks of the ferry and so on and so forth. We're looking for artists of all kinds to entertain Gov Ball patrons and add to the atmosphere and awesome energy of NYC's marquee music fest. It's free to apply and we will hand select the acts that we think fit best with the vibe of our festival. Looking forward to hearing your music! 

We are looking for all types of genres and set-ups. The key to this opportunity is that we want the bands to let us know how you would set up and play on a lawn or on a path. How would you morph your performance to be off-stage? We are booking 10+ acts for this and they will all be utilized in different areas at different times in different performance situations. (Mobile, on stage, pop-up)

Past pop-up performances have featured mariachi, brass and jazz bands as well as barbershop quartets, gospel choirs, bollywood and hip hop dance groups and more!

Backline/PA: Dependent on where you are formally confirmed to play, we will discuss performance needs. However, the vast majority of selected acts will need to bring all of their own gear. The majority of the acts selected will be smaller set-ups that are able to easily move throughout the festival grounds. 

Compensation: You will be given a small guarantee to play the event and also your own passes for the festival so when you're not performing, you can enjoy the show!  TBD at the time of booking.
