Summary
SLINGSHOT is booking up to 60 acts to play their festival in March of 2015. Compensation is provided on a case-by-case basis and negotiated at the time of booking.
The Opportunity
SLINGSHOT, the new nexus for music, electronic art and tech in Athens, GA, is coming this March from the 26th-28th. The festival spotlights international, national and local acts, boundary-pushing artworks throughout the urban environment and a tech conference with leading innovators. This year will feature an entire night dedicated to electronic music.
Over 80 national, international, and top local acts shared the
stage at
SLINGSHOT 2014. Electronic, pop, rock, experimental, DJ sets
and more in 15 venues over 3 days, spread over 5 city blocks. SLINGSHOT
partners with the best and most dynamic indoor venues with capacities from 60
to 1100+, all with state of the art sound systems.

Tinariwen, Kishi Bashi, Peelander Z, Circulatory System, Elf Power, Washed Out
(DJ Set), Kevin Barnes (DJ Set)
The Band
- Most genres accepted
- Generally not booking country or metal acts
- Acts should be inventive, fresh and forward thinking
- Must handle themselves professionally
The Gig
Details:
- Bands should expect to handle travel to and from Athens, GA
- In some circumstances, a backline can be provided
- SLINGSHOT does best to match bands with places to stay in Athens, but accommodations not guaranteed
- Professional sound and lighting provided
- Sound engineer provided
- Indoor and outdoor stages
- Sets are 45 minutes
- Varying degrees of payment for performances
- Negotiated at time of booking
- Artists keep 100% of merchandise sales
