Don't miss your LAST CHANCE to submit your music to be included in a Hallmark movie. "Finding a Family" is a Hallmark Movie slated for release this September on The Hallmark Movie Channel. It is seeking 3 songs for direct placement into the film. Sonicbids artists are encouraged to submit their original songs for three separate scenes. Hip hop/rap, pop and Christmas songs are accepted. The 3 scenes in need of music include:


  • A hip-hop/rap song is needed for a scene that takes place at a young mans foster home. 2 boys are playing pool and having a discussion while a hip-hop/rap song plays on a boombox in the room.
  • A pop song is needed for a scene in which 2 teens come zipping around the corner in a car and meet their friends. The two boys in the car are high school seniors. The song will play on the car stereo system as the boys interact. This song should be an up-tempo, catchy, pop/rock song with a lively beat.
  • A Christmas song is needed for a scene where a family decorates a Christmas tree. Something similar to 'Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas' : mellow, Christmas tune to set up a mellow vibe that family-oriented and very traditional.

About the movie:


Finding a Family is based on the true story of foster child, Alex Chivescu, who was born to Hungarian parents and whose father left the United States when he was young. His mother stayed in the U.S. to pursue a Ph.D., but was seriously injured in a car accident forcing Alex to petition the court to terminate her parental rights sending Alex into foster care. Tom Patricia and Martin Martin are the executive producers. Kim Delaney stars.
