Summary
For several years, Music Export Finland has arranged the Finland Fest showcase in cooperation with Japanese partner Creativeman. The showcase presents 3-5 Finnish acts at one of Tokyo's finest venues, Liquid Room. In May 2010, Finland Fest Metal Attack had the following lineup: Before The Dawn, Poisonblack, Tarot and Turisas.
Fans of Finnish music, metal fans and music industry people from various branches - labels, publishers, live sector - all attend. Music Export Finland applies for travel support for chosen acts from the Ministry of Trade and Economy and from ESEK & Luses.
Previous Finland Fest showcases have led to various releases and more gigs in Japan for several acts.
Selected bands will be on a professional level and aim for a long professional career in the Japanese market. If you submit, you should have material ready for licensing in Japan at the latest by March 1, 2011.
