First Act Guitars Emerging Artist Program

At First Act, we know that building a career in music is a long road. You sacrifice, spend hours rehearsing, line up gigs, and then you might only play for a handful of people for little, if any money. That's called paying your dues, and it's what you've got to do to build an audience, but we know it's tough.



To help the rock stars of tomorrow along that road, First Act has developed the First Act Emerging Artist Program. Selected artists will be provided with reduced pricing on First Act's SFA and LE line of guitars ­– currently being sold at music dealers - and will be added to a farm team of First Act endorsing artists. First Act may also promote certain selected artists in their materials and on their website as members of their farm team.



The First Act Guitars Emerging Artist Program is open to original acts only, please no cover bands.



To be considered for the First Act Emerging Artist Program you must fit into one of the two levels of criteria* below to receive special artist pricing of First Act's SFA and LE music dealer guitars.



Level One “Underground”

• You have a CD available for sale (web or retail)
  
• You're playing multiple live shows a month in your local area
  
• You have a local fanbase (snail and/or email database)
  
• You have generated some local press
  
• You have a website and/or a Myspace acount with MP3s available
  

Level Two “Up and Coming”

• You have a CD out on an Independent label with distribution
  
• Your CD must be available on iTunes
  
• You're consistently playing a minimum of 30 regional shows a year
  
• You have a regional fanbase (snail and/or email database)
  
• You've generated local/regional press (print or web)
  
• You have a website and/or a Myspace acount with MP3s available
