Summary

Inspiration Records and Ben Garves are seeking songs from artists for their first CD compilation. The project will be given a limited run of physical copies and distributed to local area radio stations and record stores for free. Online, they will be advertised on Myspace, Facebook and Twitter. Artists will receive free copies and a photo shoot. At least ten Sonicbids members have reserved slots./n/nInspiration Records has teamed with Ben Garves and his independant production label, Benny Benz Records and Entertainment, to collect and produce artists for a joint compilation CD designed to expose many of the frustrated local artists who are trying to catch a break. This will be in a mixtape format (handed out for free download with donations welcome to people who believe in the cause) to help promote the release of future compilations. At least ten spots are reserved for Sonicbids members.



Artists must be in the Seattle, WA area and must fall into the following genres: hip-hop, rap, R&B, pop, urban, soul, rock, alternative and spoken word. Selected artists will be given free studio time and production from Ben Garves and BBRE to complete one or two songs for the compilation. They will also be given master copies of those songs to go out and promote themselves with. A photoshoot will be set up with all the artists together for the album cover and promotional posters.



As for marketing, the project will be given a limited run of physical copies and distributed to local area radio stations and record stores for free. Online, they will be advertised on Myspace, Facebook and Twitter.

The wrap date of this project is August 2010 and they hope to release it by October or November to record stores and radio stations around the city. Ben Garves' expertise in production centers around urban music- hip-hop, soul, etc.



Selected artists will join the likes of Charles Kyd, Jay Conrad, Brothers Grave, Future Toxic Project (The Future Is Toxic) as BBRE and Inspiration Records releases. They will provide three free copies of the albums to each artist selected.
