First Night Hartford 2009

New Years Eve is always one of the most exciting nights of the year. This year marks the 20 anniversary celebration of First Night Hartford. Throughout the holiday, downtown Hartford is transformed into a gigantic music event, with more than 20 performance venues such as auditoriums, theaters, churches, plazas, hotels, art galleries and storefront windows. Their goal is to bring the unusual and the traditional, the serious and the fanciful, the most diverse, and the very best of the arts to the Greater Hartford community.


First Night Hartford is now accepting submissions from Sonicbids artists for general performance consideration at the event. Set lengths usually last around 30-45 minutes. Compensation is offered, but is negotiated at the time of booking. They are looking for submissions which have some connection to the Connecticut area. All performers must be family friendly. This is a great gig for any artist/band to perform at a recognized and historical First Night celebration.
