Summary

Fix Our World Festival is a nonpartisan, nondenominational event held in cities across Canada. The Festival invites universities, organizations, bands, and individuals across the world to join their efforts to participate in or host an event in their area.



Fix Our World is an organization which hosts events and initiatives to engage and educate the public, especially the youth, on issues of extreme poverty, world peace, HIV/AIDS, and the Environment.



Fix Our World Festival features genres from funk to rock, hip-hop to soul, and world music to alternative; it is a plethora of diverse sound all supporting a great cause. They are now accepting submissions from Sonicbids artists for general performance consideration. The festival will be held on Sunday, May 18th, 2008 at Philthy McNasty's in Hamilton, Ontario.



The entire event is volunteer run and all proceeds go directly to local AIDS Network and Make Poverty History. Various McMaster University clubs, local businesses, and International Organizations such as The Jane Goodall Foundation, Roots & Shoots, The Nelson Mandela Foundation, World Vision, Make Poverty History, World Wildlife, Greenpeace, Amnesty International, War Child, Unicef, Oxfam, Free the Children, International AIDS Candlelight Memorial, 46664, and The Stephen Lewis Foundation, will all be represented at the event through information kiosks and sign-up sheets. This is a great gig for any artist to perform at an event with a valiant cause.
